For arrivals, the Ministry of Health has issued a notification  to travelers coming from countries in the yellow fever zone.  Such passengers must have the certificate of vaccination  against the yellow fever known as the “International Health Certificate for Yellow Fever Vaccination”.
 
The certificate must be presented to the officers at  the Disease Control counter before Immigration in the arrival lounge, 2nd floor. The certificate will be effective 10 days after the vaccination and is valid for 10 years.
 
Passengers without the certificate will be vaccinated on arrival and quarantined for 6 days.

Size and weight of checked luggage via check-in counter.
  • Minimum dimensions 30 x 50 x 7.5 cm. and maximum dimensions 85 x 110 x 50 cm.
  • Luggage contained fragile items for example music instruments, electric appliances, round shape or free body object, or (live) animal should be loaded to OOG Y1-Y4 lift.
  • Card box, plastic bag, or plastic wrapped luggage with maximum dimensions 45 x 65 x 50 cm. should be loaded with tray.
  • Each luggage must be weighted between 0.5 – 32 Kg.
  • Each passenger is allowed to check in excess baggage maximum 10 pieces.  Otherwise, the airline must confirm as the passenger personal effects.

  • Luggage with maximum dimensions 85 x 150 x 85 cm.
  • Sport equipments or music instruments with maximum dimension 85 x 400 x 85 cm.
  • Wheelchair and electric wheelchair for disabled.
  • Passenger must show up when loading luggage.
  • Maximum weight is 50 Kg per item.
  • Each passenger is allowed to check in excess baggage maximum 10 pieces.  Otherwise, the airline must confirm as the passenger personal effects.

Dangerous Goods Regulations

Do not carry any hazardous materials on board an aircraft.

Hazardous substances include the following:
  • Explosive substances e.g. firework
  • Gases are divided into three types:
       – Flammable gases e.g. aerosol insecticide
       – Toxic gases e.g. ammonia
       – Non-flammable, non-toxic gases which may explode upon forceful impact e.g. carbon dioxide
  • Flammable liquids e.g. lighter fluid, alcohol, oil-based paint
  • Flammable solids are divided into three types:
       – Flammable solids e.g. match, sulfur
       – Combustible substances e.g. cotton fibers, yellow phosphorous
       – Substances that generate a flammable gas upon contact with water e.g. calcium carbide
  • Oxidized substances and organic peroxides are divided into two types:
       – Oxidized substances e.g. ammonia nitrate, potassium permanganate
       – Organic peroxides e.g. dicumyl peroxide, methyl ethyl ketone peroxide
  • Toxic substances and substances capable of spreading germs
       – Toxic substances e.g. insecticide, mercury compound
       – Substances capable of spreading germs e.g. microorganism
  • Radioactive materials e.g. uranium, cobalt 60
  • Corrosive materials e.g. car battery, acid, mercury
  • All types of firearms and ammunition
  • Materials that can be considered a weapon e.g. knife, sword, all types of pointed objects
LAG (Liquids, Aerosols, Gels)

Liquid to be carried on board :
Liquids, gels and sprays falling under these regulations are drinking water, beverage, cream, lotion, oil, spray, perfume, hair gel, toothpaste and deodorant.

  • Every type of liquid, gel and spray must be in a container size not over 100 ml. Any containers that are over 100 ml in volume are not allowed on board.
  • All containers must be put together in a clear plastic bag which can be sealed and the whole amount contained must not exceed 1 liter (1,000 ml).
  • Liquid, gel and spray that are over 100 ml must be loaded at check-in counter and go through check–in procedures.
  • Liquid that is waived under this regulations is mild and baby food in a proper amount as well as medicine with clear prescription.
  • Liquid, gel and spray purchased from duty free shop at the Airport must remain in the clear plastic bag without any traces of opening.Evidence of the purchase date being the same date as the date of travel must be declared to officials at the security checkpoints.

However, regulations regarding carrying liquids on board may vary in each country. Passengers should ask for information from their airlines prior to purchasing.

Domestic to International

CIQ (Custom Immigration Quarantine) is passengers who passed through the immigration and luggage check by custom, ready for departure. For example, the passengers from Phuket or Chiang Mai who are traveling abroad, the Passport control and luggage security check can be done from the original flight, the passengers will have the CIQ sticker on their chests. When they arrive to the Suvarnabhummi Airport, the passengers will be separated and can directly go boarding.

International to Domestic

Transfer of passengers on domestic flights with Thai Airways (TG) must travel by the following airlines:

Security Check :

  • Separate luggage before puting into the X-Ray machine
        1. Carry-on luggage
        2. Jacket, Suits
        3. Notebook / Laptop
        4. Zip-lock plastic bag containing with liquids less than 100 ml. per bag and not exceed 1 liter in total.
        5. Liquid, gel and spray purchased from duty free shop at the Airport remain in the clear plastic bag without any traces of opening. Evidence that the purchase date is the same as the date of travel must be declared to officials at the security checkpoints.
  • Firearms, knife or any of dangerous goods are prohibited. This includes the liquids exceeding the permitted amounts. Items mentioned above that are found by the authorities will be confiscated.
  • Cooperate with authorities to ensure safe travel.
  • Check your luggage before leaving the security point.
  • Do not leave your luggage unattended.
  • Pay attention to information available in the airport such as banners, brochures, public announcements, LCD Information screens, etc.
  • In case a passenger needs to bring firearms and ammunition onto the aircraft, the passenger must declare to the airlines at the check-in counter, in order to comply with the rules and regulations.
  • In case of an unlawful act in the airport, please notify Security.

  • In case a passenger finds luggage or any goods left unattended :
        1. It is strictly prohibited to touch, carry or move those luggage.
        2. Immediately notify the authorities.
        3. If possible, please wait for the authorities in order to help finding the luggage or providing additional information.
        4. While you are waiting for the authorities, do not stay close to the luggage and tell others to do the same.
  • Be at the boarding gate 20 minutes before the departure time and allow extra time for Passport Control and security check before boarding.
